Scientific Trip : UNAMI Human Rights Office in Erbil
In collaboration with UNAMI Human Rights Office in Erbil, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a briefing session on human rights and UNAMI’s work, held under the supervision of Mr. Badr Muhammed Mustafa, on January 24th, 2024. 51 faculty students participated in the session. Students were briefed on UNAMI’s human rights monitoring and reporting, focusing on priority areas of work in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, including civic space and the administration of justice, among other topics, and discussed the relevance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in today’s context. The aim of this scientific trip was to provide students with a better understanding of their legal procedures and protocols regarding UNAMI Human Right’s activity in Kurdistan.
