On November 11, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a mock trial for its fourth-year law students. The session, guided by Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abdulkareem, was designed to help students learn about the procedures of an administrative court, including the submission of petitions and evidence, hearing witness testimonies, and navigating legal proceedings.
The event, attended by Dr. Hussein Balisany, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, along with other faculty lecturers and students, transformed a regular classroom into a realm of legal exploration. These mock trials serve a dual purpose: they offer students an immersive learning experience and a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to realistic scenarios. This initiative is aimed at deepening students’ comprehension of judicial practices and the nuances of legal procedures, thus preparing them for their future roles in the legal profession.
