Academic Debate: Premarital Training
As part of the activities organized by the Faculty of Law to provide more opportunities for students in the field of social science and law, an Academic Debate entitled “Premarital Training” was held on October 18th, 2022. The debate was held in Hall 402, Tishk International University, and witnessed the attendance of over 40 students, under the supevision of Dr.Xaled Jalal, as well as staff members including the Dean of Students of the Faculty of Law Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, and Head of the Faculty of Law Dr.Sabah Qasim Khedir. The debate presenters were Zhina Xaled and Nadwa Najmadin.
The seminar offered a comprehensive exploration into the essential components of the premarital training course, a pivotal program recommended for individuals to undertake before embarking on matrimonial life. This preparatory course provides an in-depth understanding of the mutual rights and obligations that come with marriage. It is structured around three critical perspectives: social research, religious tenets, and legal frameworks, each delivered by experts in their respective fields.
Concluding the lively discourse, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, conveyed his appreciation for the insightful debate. He emphasized the value of such educational exchanges and expressed his eagerness to facilitate further scholarly discussions that can enrich the academic community.
