Workshop: Chaos Theory and Prediction Hypotheses Under the Law
In continuation of Scientific activities the Law Faculty held a workshop on Thursday, October 23, 2025 entitled” Chaos Theory and Prediction Hypotheses Under the Law ” .the presenter was Professor Dr. Zana Raouf Hama Karim, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law at the University of Human Development in Sulaimani and a former member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, the workshop moderated by Mrs. Bayar Imad. during the workshop focused on the relationship between the elements of chaos theory and its impact on prediction hypotheses under legal systems, as well as the application of these elements within the framework of legal systems.
The discussion covered how even small and unforeseen changes (chaotic elements) could lead to significant and diverse outcomes in legal proceedings. The importance of considering non-linear scenarios when legislating laws and predicting their effects was emphasized. Additionally, the role of the legal system in providing a structured framework for addressing unforeseen events in order to reduce ambiguity was discussed.
The workshop was a valuable opportunity for preparation and academic collaboration, as it prompted several questions and comments, enriching the discussion regarding the integration of philosophical and legal reasoning in understanding legal decisions.
