Seminar: The Legal Framework for Reducing Government Debt

On February 12, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a seminar titled, “The Legal Framework for Reducing Government Debt in the Kurdistan Region.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Muhammed Abdulkareem.

Held in Hall 437, the seminar was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dean of Faculty, Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, and other staff members. During the session, Dr. Abdulkareem clarified the mechanisms for reducing government debt in the Kurdistan Region and discussed recent changes in this area. He also addressed necessary amendments to existing laws in Iraq to prevent future debt increases.
