Faculty of Law Hosts Critical Analysis of Kurdish Question

In continuation of scientific activities, on Tuesday, January 28, 2026, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organized an academic seminar entitled “The Legacy of the Republic of Kurdistan (1946),” with the participation of a number of faculty members and students of the college.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa from the Department of International Relations. In his presentation, he offered a critical and analytical examination of the international and regional factors that have shaped the Kurdish question, tracing its development from the era of President Woodrow Wilson to contemporary challenges, including the siege of Kobani.

The seminar addressed several key themes, most notably the impact of British and French imperial interests, the dynamics of regional states in confronting Kurdish movements, and the evolution of the international system between bipolarity and multipolarity.

This seminar was held as part of the Faculty’s ongoing academic activities aimed at enhancing legal and political awareness and promoting scholarly dialogue on historical and contemporary issues.
