On May 10, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a seminar titled, “The Future of Legal Studies in Iraq and the Region.” The seminar was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Najdat Sabri.
The seminar, held in Hall 443, was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dr. Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, and other staff members.
The seminar addressed the current state of legal education in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. It highlighted the challenges faced by law schools in terms of curricula, academic qualification, and practical training. It also explored potential avenues for the development of legal studies to keep pace with the rapid changes in the legal and legislative fields. The session concluded with a rich discussion among attendees, underscoring the necessity of ongoing academic dialogue to advance legal education in alignment with future needs.
