On April 17, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a seminar titled, “The Concept of Justice and Freedom.” The seminar was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, the Dean of the Faculty.
Held in Hall 443, the seminar was attended by Sabah Qasim, the Head of the Department, and other staff members. Dr. Balisani addressed the fundamental concepts of justice and freedom from both legal and philosophical perspectives, exploring their impact on the formation of contemporary legal systems. He also discussed the intellectual backgrounds of social justice and individual freedom in light of the challenges facing modern societies.
The seminar witnessed rich engagement from the attendees, with numerous contributions and questions that enriched the discussion and underscored the importance of addressing these concepts within a rigorous academic framework.
