Seminar: Criminal Responsibility Arising from the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Commission of International Crimes
On 14 January 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organized an academic seminar entitled “Criminal Responsibility Arising from the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Commission of International Crimes.” The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Shakhawan and was attended by a number of faculty members of the Faculty of Law. The seminar addressed the most prominent legal challenges related to criminal responsibility for international crimes committed through the use of artificial intelligence technologies, with particular emphasis on the difficulties faced by international criminal law in keeping pace with rapid technological advancements.
This seminar aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16, which focuses on promoting justice and building strong institutions, and Goal 9, which supports innovation and the responsible use of technology.
