National Workshop: National Accreditation Councils in Iraq: Challenges and Opportunities.
In continuation of scientific activities, on 17 December 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organized a workshop entitled “National Accreditation Councils in Iraq: Challenges and Opportunities.” The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Ismail Mahmoud Mohammed Issa Al-Jubouri, a lecturer at Al-Mustansiriyah University and president of the Iraqi Association for Accreditation, Integrity, and the Development of Educational Programs. The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulbasit Karim, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Tishk International University.
The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members from the Faculty of Law and Tishk International University. During the session, the speaker addressed the current state of academic accreditation in Iraq, the challenges facing accreditation councils, and the opportunities available to enhance the quality of higher education and academic programs.
This workshop was held as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education, which aims to ensure high-quality higher education and to promote sustainable learning opportunities.
