On November 5, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a mock trial for its fourth-year law students, held under the guidance of Asst. Lecturer Mr. Kastro Salim. The session provided a practical exploration of Article 406 (Murder) of the Iraqi Penal Law.
The event was attended by Dr. Hussein Balisany, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, and Dr. Abdulbasit Kareem, alongside faculty lecturers and students. The mock trial served a dual purpose: it offered students an immersive learning experience and a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to realistic scenarios. This initiative is aimed at deepening students’ comprehension of judicial practices and the nuances of legal procedures, effectively preparing them for their future roles in the legal profession.
