Workshop on The Reality of Investment in the Kurdistan Region in Light of Law No. (4)
The Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organised a workshop on The Reality of Investment in the Kurdistan Region in Light of Law No. (4) and the Instructions Issued Thereunder, held on December 20th, 2022, Hall No. 402, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The workshop moderator was Asst. Lect. Mr. Muhammed Ashraf Sheikho.
1st Speaker: Asst. Prof. Dr. Haval S. Ismail, Director General of the Promotion and Evaluation Department And license projects in the Investment Commission in the Kurdistan Region.
2nd Speaker: Mr. Luqman Hassan Rasool, Lecturer at the Lebanese French University and Director of Legal Affairs in the Investment Department of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
The impact of Investment Law No. 4 of 2006 in the Kurdistan Region on the reality of investment was discussed during the first part of the workshop. During the second part, the impact of the instructions issued by the Supreme Council for Investment on the investment process was also covered. After that, a questions and answers session was held, in which the audience presented asked several questions regarding the Investment Law, which the workshop speakers actively answered. The Presidency of TIU thanked and appreciated the speakers for their contributions to the workshop.
