As part of its academic activities, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a visit for its second-year students to the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region in Erbil on January 15, 2025. The trip was supervised by lecturers Badr Mohamed Taher Mustafa and Abdullah Shaxawan.
The students were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Briar Sherko, an advisor in the Kurdistan Parliament. First, the students and their supervisors visited the parliamentary library, where the head of the library, Mr. Mohammed, provided information about the collection of books and the borrowing process. Following this, Prof. Dr. Briar Sherko gave a lecture on the history and legislative role of the Kurdistan Parliament, explaining the stages of the legislation process.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the practical procedures of the parliament. The staff guided the students through various departments, including the general meeting room. Parliament consultants explained the institution’s work and held a Q&A session for the visiting students.
At the end of the trip, the supervisors and students expressed their gratitude to all who made the visit a success.
