Faculty of Law Hosts a Mock Trial
The Faculty of Law at Tishk International University is dedicated to enriching the educational journey of its law students through practical experiences. To this end, the faculty regularly schedules a series of organized mock trials. On October 18th, 2023, the latest of these simulations was conducted by the senior law students under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Saman Abdullah.
The event, attended by the Dean of Student at the Faculty of Law Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, the Head of Department Dr. Sabah Qasim, alongside faculty lecturers and students, transformed a regular classroom into a realm of legal exploration. These mock trials serve a dual purpose: they offer students an immersive learning experience, and they provide a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to realistic scenarios. It’s an initiative aimed at deepening students’ comprehension of judicial practices and the nuances of legal procedures, thus preparing them for their future roles in the legal profession.
