Faculty of Law Celebrates Mawlid Al-Nabawi
This month is considered notable and blessed as it marks the birth of the Islamic Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Around the world, Muslims celebrate the birth of their beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), who came to humanity as a guide and leader. Kurdish people observe this occasion by decorating their homes and bazaars and exchanging sweets and desserts. On September 26th, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organized a Mawlid Al-Nabawi celebration to commemorate the birth of our holy Prophet.
The event started with a recitation of the Holy Quran, after which Asst. Prof. Dr.SultanT. Abu-Orabi, president of Tishk International University, then Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Balisani, Dean of the Faculty of Law, delivered an opening speech. After that, Dr. Idrees Kareem Mawlood presented a seminar about the life, attitude, and ethics of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and spoke about the importance of his teachings.
Finally, Dr. Hüseyin Balisani thanked those who participated in this event, highlighting the importance of education and science in religion. The goal of this activity is to guide students and familiarize them with the teachings of our beloved Prophet, which help make society a better place and promote acts of service towards the community.
