Faculty of Law celebrates International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Faculty of Law organized a special program in honor of our female staff and students. The Assist Prof. Hüseyin Balisani, Dean of the Faculty of Law delivered the opening speech of the program, in which he highlighted the important roles that women play in society, and how we must all work together to promote gender equality and fight against gender-based violence.

International Women’s Day is a global celebration held on March 8th every year. This day marks the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Following the speech, Mr. Ako Sabah Head of the Law Department presented a short seminar about the importance of women in society. Students also engaged in this program by expressing their thoughts on women’s rights, the role that women play in society, women at work, and gender equality. To wrap up the event, several gifts were distributed to our female students in honor of their achievements and their contributions to the development of society.

On behalf of the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University, we wish a happy International Women’s Day to all. Women are the epitome of hope, courage, love, and power. We are truly honored to have such wonderful and inspiring women working with us in the faculty, and hope that our young students grow to achieve greater milestones and set a powerful example to the new generation coming.
