Seminar on Electoral Systems and the Most Appropriate for Iraq and Kurdistan Region
As part of the educational activities organized by the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University, a seminar on Electoral Systems and the Most Appropriate for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region was presented by Prof. Assist. Dr. Jaafer Hussein, Director of the IRO and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, on February 15th, 2023.
This seminar discussed the electoral system and methods and proposed the mixed proportional membership (MMP) method to be followed in the future in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region for the election of members of parliament. Staff members of the Faculty of Law attended this seminar, and after completing the presentation, a Q&A session was held in which the presenter and participants enriched the seminar with intriguing academic and scientific discussions.
