On November 17, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organized an academic debate for its fifth-year students. The debate was titled, “Positive and negative effects of electronic currency in Kurdistan – Iraq,” and was supervised by Dr. Muhammed Abdulkarim.

The speakers for the debate included Thamin Siyamand, Mevan Ahmed, Omer Jameel, Viyar Krmanj, and Ranya Abdullaziz. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dr. Sabah Qasim Khedir, and other faculty staff members.

The primary aim of this debate was to help students express their opinions on the topic, while also exploring ways to prevent potential negative effects in Kurdistan and discussing the legal framework and protection related to electronic currency.
