Faculty of Law Celebrates Mawlid Al- Nabawi
This month is considered notable and blessed as it marks the birth of the Islamic Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Around the world, Muslims celebrate the birth of their beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), who came to humanity as a guide and leader. Kurdish people observe this occasion by decorating their homes and bazaars and exchanging sweets and desserts.
On October 12th, 2022, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University organised a Mawlid Al-Nabawi celebration to commemorate the birth of our holy Prophet.
The event started with a recitation of the Holy Quran, after which Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Balisani, Dean of Faculty of Law delivered an opening speech. After that, Mr. Khalid Jalal presented a seminar about the life, attitude and ethics of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and spoke about the importance of his teachings.
Finally, Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees and Dr. AbdulSamad Salahuddin Ahmed, President of TIU, thanked Prof Dr. Hüseyin Balisani and all who participated in this event, highlighting the importance of education and science in religion. The Presidency also thanked the Faculty of Law for guiding its students and familiarising them with the teachings of our beloved Prophet that help make society a better place and promotes acts of service towards the community.
