The Faculty of Law Organized a Welcoming Ceremony for First-Year Students
The Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a welcoming ceremony for first-year students of the 2025–2026 academic year on 7 December 2025, with the participation of the Dean of the College, the Head of the Department of Law, and members of the academic staff.
The ceremony began with an opening address delivered by Professor Dr. Rozhan Dzeayee, the Dean of the College of Law, in which she welcomed the new students and provided an overview of the faculty’s mission, vision, and academic programs. She emphasized the importance of studying law and highlighted the role of students in upholding the values of justice and the rule of law within society.
Following this, Dr. Sabah Qasim—Head of the Department of Law—delivered a speech offering several academic and administrative guidelines. He also provided a brief explanation of subjects related to the education system, course follow-up procedures, and adherence to university regulations, along with an introduction to the faculty’s facilities and academic environment.
After that, Mr. Salman Dlaver presented a guideline on the use of the electronic Student Information System (SIS), the available channels for communication with the department, and the annual social activities organized by the Faculty of Law. He also introduced the mechanisms of academic support provided by the faculty to assist students throughout their studies.
At the end of the event, the dean of the faculty reaffirmed her commitment to supporting students as they take their first steps in university life and expressed her wishes for a productive and successful academic year.
