On May 8, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a seminar titled, “The Authority of the Region in Concluding International Treaties.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Badr Muhammed.
The seminar, held in Hall 443, was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dr. Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, and other staff members.
The seminar addressed the legal and constitutional framework governing the powers of the Kurdistan Region in international relations. It focused on the extent to which the Region can conclude international treaties and agreements, as well as the limitations imposed by the Iraqi Constitution. The session concluded with a rich discussion from the attendees, highlighting the importance of this topic within academic and legal contexts.
