On December 9, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a seminar titled, “United Nations Mechanism for the Protection of Human Rights.” The seminar was presented by Mrs. Tavga Omer Rashid, Director of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in the Kurdistan Region.
The seminar, held in Hall 443, was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dean of Faculty, Sabah Qasim, Head of the Department, and other staff members. During the session, Mrs. Rashid provided a clear explanation of the United Nations mechanism for the protection of human rights and discussed the developments and changes that have occurred within the independent commission in the Kurdistan Region.
