, presented by Asst. Lecturer ( Naz Xorshid )on 30th of April, 2023. The speaker focused on the role of the Security Council and explained how it requires reform for two main reasons:
1) The veto system

2) The Security Council members do not adequately represent the security needs of the international community. According to Article 108 of the Charter, amendments must be adopted by two-thirds of the members of the General Assembly, including all the permanent members of the Security Council. In order to implement the security council reform, the UN Charter entails amendment.
