Academic Debate: Effects of the Domestic Violence Law in Kurdistan-Iraq
As part of the activities organized by the Faculty of Law to provide more opportunities for students in the field of social science and law, an Academic Debate entitled “Effects of the Domestic Violence Law in Kurdistan-Iraq” was held on November 20th, 2022. The debate was held in Hall 402, Tishk International University, and the Head of the Faculty of Law, lectures, and over 50 students attended under supervision of Mr.Mohmmad Abdulkareem. Karo Kawa presented the debate, and the opposing parties included Safar Rashid, Rania Abdul-Aziz, Omer Jamil, and Thamin Siamand.
The effects of the Domestic Violence Law in Kurdistan-Iraq, how it helps families and individuals, and its limitations were discussed during the event. The Head of the Faculty of Law Dr. Sabah Qasim appreciated this debate and expressed his wish to organize further scientific debates.
